Hi, I’m Tanya Rao,
and I’m passionate about digital product design
I’ve worked in Tech for the last 11 years. I started out in Marketing, setting up the function for a garage startup before scaling it for a global EdTech firm.
As a marketeer, what started out as an attempt to help out overworked designers, eventually led me to moving the pixel by myself. I caught my product design break at Ola, India. Two years later, I was on the plane to Singapore, joining Grab.
Moving from India to Singapore, the last four years I’ve designed extensively for 7 South-east Asian countries. Working for GrabFood, GrabMart and GrabExpress products, I redesigned the Restaurant Home for GrabFood and launched GrabMart at the start of pandemic lockdowns. I also tested out new business models like Community Buying in South East Asia. At Grab, I managed a team of 5 product designers across different tech orgs.
